Current Projects & Campaigns
National Rent Control Campaign
We’re advocating for comprehensive rent control legislation that would establish maximum rent increases, require justification for above-average rents, and create oversight mechanisms to prevent price gouging in high-demand areas. This campaign includes petition drives, parliamentary engagement, and public awareness activities.
Digital Tenancy Platform Partnership
In collaboration with MyMuzu and technology partners, we’re developing a digital platform that will allow tenants to securely store lease agreements, track rent payments, report maintenance issues, and access legal resources 4all from their mobile phones.
Rural Housing Rights Initiative
Many rural Ghanaians face unique housing challenges with limited awareness of their rights. This initiative brings NATUG services to rural communities through mobile outreach, local language resources, and partnerships with traditional authorities and community leaders.
Youth Housing Advocacy Program
Young Ghanaians face particular challenges in accessing affordable housing. This program trains youth advocates, provides specialized resources for first-time renters, and campaigns for policies that address youth housing needs.
Our Partner Organizations
Housing Advocacy & Support Initiatives
The program promotes fair housing through rent control advocacy, a digital tenancy platform for secure tenant services, rural outreach to expand housing rights awareness, and youth-focused advocacy to improve access to affordable housing for young Ghanaians.
